LIGHTING DEPARTMENT
Lighting Supervisor
May 13 arrive / June 30 depart
$4,000 stipend / up to $300 travel / private dorm housing / 11 meals a week
Minimum Requirements: solid leadership, communication, organizational skills; electrics team leadership and lighting design experience whether academically or professionally; experience with ETC Element console and ability to program efficiently and accurately; experience with programming and maintaining moving lights and LED fixtures, knowledge of theatrical rigging, electricity and wiring; ability to read and understand light plots and related lighting paperwork, and ability to lift at least 50 pounds and able to work from ladders and other heights.
Responsible for:

Implementing the lighting design (installing, repairing, and maintaining all lighting equipment) for a four-show rotating repertory season, the children’s show, and auxiliary shows as needed

Construct and wire any scenic or practical items such as light boxes, LED Tape, or other production-specific lighting.

Maintain accurate and up to date paperwork for each production and changeover.

Keep electrics lab and booth areas clean and free of debris.

Follow all health and safety guidelines established by the theatre. Report any unsafe conditions or practices to your supervisor immediately.

Participating in opening night discussions
Assistant Lighting Supervisor
May 15 arrive / July 30 depart
$4,000 stipend / up to $300 travel / double occupancy dorm housing / 11 meals a week
Minimum Requirements: Assist Master Electrician in supervising a 4 member team of electricians through the installation, repair, and maintenance of all elements of the lighting design and changeovers. The successful candidate will have a minimum of one year of professional theatrical lighting experience or the educational equivalent with an emphasis in programming ETC Consoles. Also required is knowledge of industry standard operating procedures, and electrical theory and electrical safety.
Responsible for:

Assisting with the implementation of the lighting design for the four-show rotating repertory season, the children’s show, and other auxiliary shows, as needed

Serving as the Lighting Designer for the children’s show

Helping to install, repair, and maintain all lighting equipment
-
Supervising and assigning electrics duties to running and change-over crews.

Serving as the light board operator for at least one show.

Serve as the deck electrician for at least one show.

Assisting with company strike
Electrician (2)
May 15 arrive / July 30 depart
$3,000 stipend / up to $300 travel /double occupancy dorm housing / 11 meals a week
Minimum Requirements: Assist with the hang, focus, and strike of electrics and special effects for all productions; Program and run the lighting console for shows as assigned; Assist with the maintenance and upkeep for all lighting inventory and systems. The successful candidate will have a minimum of one year of educational theatrical lighting experience.
Responsible for:

Assisting with the implementation of the lighting design for the four-show rotating repertory season, the children’s show, and other auxiliary shows, as needed

Helping to install and maintain all lighting equipment

Working on the running and change-over crews in lighting

Serving as the light board operator for at least two shows

Serving as Lighting Designer for auxiliary shows (Chinese Theatre Night, Talent Show, Staged Reading)
