Cassandra Trautman

First Hand, 1st season

Cassandra Trautman graduated with a Master of Fine Arts degree from Texas Tech University in May 2018 and from Angelo State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2014. Recently, she was the costume designer and crafts artisan for Texas Tech University’s Production of Tennessee Williams’ The Gnadiges Fraulein, which traveled to Provincetown, MA for the Tennessee Williams Festival and received the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival Region 6 Award for Excellence: Originality in Costume Design. Her costume design and crafts work for Anne Washburn’s Mr. Burns, a Post-Electric Play, received the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival Region 6 Award for Allied Design and Technologies as well as the USITT Stagecraft Institute of Las Vegas Allied Design and Technology Award. Some of her other favorite designs include scenic design for Passion Play by Sarah Ruhl and costume design for A Father’s Trial by Jon Peck. Cassandra grew up in San Antonio, TX and creates custom leather goods and recycled art in her spare time. This is Cassandra's first season with TSF.
