Brazie Adamez recently moved back to Kilgore after having been in Austin since 2001. Brazie was a Kilgore College Rangerette from 1999-2001. She continued her dance education at The University of Texas where she received her Bachelor of Arts from the Theatre and Dance Department. In 2004 she began teaching dance and directing for the McCallum High School Fine Arts Academy's Dance Department in Austin. Brazie also performed and choreographed for a few Central Texas theatre/dance companies. While in Austin, Brazie served as a mentor to The University of Texas’ Dance Studies candidates, contributed to the writing of Austin Independent School District’s curriculum for Dance and was also involved in Austin ISD’s Creative Learning Initiative. In addition to teaching for Austin ISD's Creative Learning Initiative as a dance specialist, Brazie completed her certification in Language of Dance practices in 2013 and advocates to include the Language of Dance in the public school dance curriculum. This is Brazie's first year to be involved with the festival!
